Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Despite my advanced age and weary bones I managed to complete the quest to climb Ben Nevis last year. It was the hardest physical challenge I have completed in my life, topping even watching my wife give birth (twice).
It was a long, painful slog to the top in driving rain, which turned to snow near the summit (at the end of June!). It took me 9 hours. I am still paying the price with sore knees, back and ego (my wife beat me by two hours!).
So, I hear you ask, why am I doing it again? To be quite honest, I haven't got a clue, except that it will raise some money for a very good cause - Grace House North East Children's Hospice Appeal.
