Hi,
Thanks for taking the time to view my sponsorship page.
Running the London Marathon is a big challenge for anyone, whatever their age and background, but for me it will be especially big as I'm 37 and I haven't done any street running for a good five or six years.
Of course, playing rugby keeps me generally fit and I do a lot of cycling and walking anyway, but I have to say my fitness levels aren't as high as they used to be and with less than three months to prepare, this is probably going to be one of the biggest challenges I have ever undertaken.
Although I'm not expecting an amazingly quick time, I do believe i can finish,
albeit in a small mass of jelly on the other side of the finish line. So please, dig deep and sponsor me. It is unlikely I will ever do something like this again and this is such an important charity for our area.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
Many thanks for your support.
Paul (Asterix..... to my rugby friends)
