Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

In June this year I will participate in one of the most challendging amateur cycling events in the UK, the Lands End to John O'Groats, Race Against Time, which covers 874 miles in just six days, an average of 145 miles a day.

The training program currently entails around 120 miles a week and builds up to 280 miles a week. Winter conditions have been harsh, long distances and hill climbing burns the legs and there are more comfortable seats to sit on for hours on end. So why do it ? Why go through the pain? What is the motivation?

Barking mad ? helps but the knowledge that  the suffering of even a small number of HIV AIDs orphanes, will be alleviated. I've witnessed first hand how this epedemic is blighting kids lives in Africa.  They struggle to survive in dire conditions, no hope for a better future, no parents to provide effection and security. If you can comprehend what is happening to people down there I  encourage you to help make a difference.

All my expenses for the ride, accomodation, transportation, etc is covered by corporate sponsorship from SportingBet.com, so 100% of the donation goes to the Trust, so even small donations will make a difference.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Bishop Simeon Trust gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor me now!
