Dementia Concern is a local organisation that provides emotional support and practical services to meet the changing needs of people with dementia and their carers.

Story

Thanks for visiting our fundraising page.

As some of you may know, our Dad has been suffering with Lewy Body Dementia for the past 12 years. Lewy Body Dementia is the second largest cause of dementia in the UK, after Alzheimer's and is essentially a combination of Parkinson's Motor symptoms and dementia.

We are doing the Capital to Coast bike ride for Alzheimers Concern Ealing for the help and support they have given our Mum and Dad over the last few years and to help them in their support and advocacy for sufferers of all types of Dementia.

We are cycling from Esher to Hove, which is a grand total of 60 miles. Anything that you can donate would be most appreciated and don't worry we won't be spending it on getting the beers in afterwards although I'm sure a few ales will be on the cards..

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

Anything is a bonus and every little bit makes a difference. Thanks for your support.

Cheers,

Paul & Mark Cartlich
