Story
On the 29 of April 2010 my life was changed by a huge myocardial infarction (heart attack).
Due to a very quick response from the ambulance, paramedics and surgeons, I am still here to tell the tale. With the great support from the nurses in the rehab team and an amazing network of friends and family, I have made a great recovery, to the point that I can now attempt this challenge.
My recovery, both physical and mental, was massively aided by the publications and online information provided by the British Heart Foundation. So, to help give something back, I’ve chosen to take on this iconic challenge to raise funds for this amazing charity.
As well as continuing to offer the fantastic level of advice, support and information that so many people depend on, the British Heart Foundation are also tirelessly researching to try to bring an end to heart disease that affects so many. Their research certainly helped save my life.
So, even if it’s a pound from behind the sofa or the ashtray of the car, please try to donate something towards this wonderful cause and don’t forget to tick the Gift Aid box to get the most out of your generous donation.
Best I get out there now and do some training.
Thanks for reading.
