I will be running the London Marathon on 26^th April this year and would be really grateful if you’d sponsor my chosen charity, which is Against Breast Cancer (ABC).  This will be my 13^th marathon in the last 5 years but my first to raise money for charity.   I've chosen a breast cancer charity because my wife was diagnosed with the cancer last autumn and we know and have known so many people who have been affected by the disease.

Also I believe ABC's aim, to support a unique combination of breast cancer research that includes three areas: diet and lifestyle, biochemistry and immunology, will hopefully contribute significantly to increased survival and diagnosis and prevention of secondary cancer, and ultimately possibly to discover a vaccine against breast cancer; all of which I feel is well worth pursuing for our children’s and grandchildren’s sakes at least.
