I will be running the London Marathon on 26 April this year and would be really grateful if you’d sponsor my chosen charity, which is Against Breast Cancer (ABC). This will be my 13 marathon in the last 5 years but my first to raise money for charity. I've chosen a breast cancer charity because my wife was diagnosed with the cancer last autumn and we know and have known so many people who have been affected by the disease.
Also I believe ABC's aim, to support a unique combination of breast cancer research that includes three areas: diet and lifestyle, biochemistry and immunology, will hopefully contribute significantly to increased survival and diagnosis and prevention of secondary cancer, and ultimately possibly to discover a vaccine against breast cancer; all of which I feel is well worth pursuing for our children’s and grandchildren’s sakes at least.
