Virgin London Marathon 2010 · 25 April 2010 ·
Update 20 April 2010:
Brighton Marathon done and dusted. It was an absolutely fantastic race, brilliantly organised, but it was also a very long day. 5 hours 43 minutes and 15 seconds in fact. Time on feet though, which is good LOL. I seem to have come out the other side of it with my body intact, so now it is onwards to London this coming weekend. :) :)
Update 26 April 2010:
London Marathon also completed :) :) :) Not a great race for me... the first half was fine but it all fell apart in the second half through a combination of a shin injury and Brighton catching up with me. 4 hours 37 minutes and 29 seconds. Not quite the PB that I was hoping for, but the challenge is done and I managed to complete two marathons in consecutive weekends :) Thank you all for your support and generosity :)
Everyone has been so very generous when I have been raising funds, through my running, over the past couple of years. I know that I said never again for fundraising, but I have now decided to take on a challenge that even I am not really sure about!!

I am running TWO marathons on CONSECUTIVE Sundays !
BRIGHTON on 18th April 2010; followed by
LONDON, one week later, on 25th April 2010
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
As if that was not challenge enough, I will also be running in the EDINBURGH marathon four weeks after that, on 23rd May 2010 !!
I managed to get my place for the first Virgin London Marathon through the ballot, so I have NO pressure to raise a minimum amount of sponsorship.
I just want to use my place to try and raise any amount, no matter how small, for the British Heart Foundation once again. Most of you know how much the BHF means to me, given what happened to my Dad, who died eight years ago.
Anything you can give would be fantastic and I know that the BHF would be so very grateful.
Many thanks
Paul
