Tibet Relief Fund helps Tibetans to build a brighter future through better education, healthcare and community development. We also run a thriving sponsorship programme for children, elderly Tibetans, monks and nuns.

Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

I am attempting to do the gruelling 1100 Kilometer from Lhasa in Tibet over the Himalayas, to Kathmandu in Nepal! The journey takes 17 days of cycling at an average altitude of 4000 meters!  It will take me over 6 mountain passes above 5000m and even right up to Everest base camp.  Training is going well but it is undoubtedly going to be the hardest thing I will have ever done.

Tibet is an issue that has always been close to my heart.  In 1950 the People's Republic of China annexed Tibet and since 1959 HH the Dalai Lama and over 100,000 Tibetans have fled their homeland from political and religious persecution.  Today I feel it is important to help support Tibetan refugees and orphans who seek a Tibetan education that is ironically denied to them in their own homeland.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Tibet Relief Fund gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor me now!
