On Thursday 4th June 2009, Paul completed 15 laps, 9.6kms/5.965 miles in 1 hour 18 minutes, the sponsorship is still coming in and we are getting nearer to the £5,000 target by the day.

 

In only four weeks of fundraising you, the public, have raised a final approximate total of £4,445 (including gift aid). Both the Teenage Cancer Trust and Paul would like to thank you for your kindness and support in what are very difficult financial circumstances for everyone....WELL DONE!!!

Paul is 50 years old, he's an Ex-Royal Naval serviceman and needs your help to raise £5,000 in just under 4 weeks.

Paul has a head injury and is in a wheelchair most of his days, Paul suffers from pressure on his brain every single day of his life due to his head injury, he also has crush injuries to his hips and chest and has damage to his neck and left shoulder. Paul also has a tumour in his lower back.

Paul wasn't expected to survive his accident but he did and has been raising funds for good causes for sometime now. Last year he helped raise over £28,500 for children and other good causes, he has never failed to reach his targets but this year is proving that little bit harder and he desperately needs your help!!

Can you imagine being a teenager, living a normal healthy life and perhaps a promising career in football, athletics or anything else for that matter, is just around the corner and then all of a sudden, being told by your doctor that you have cancer. NO? Niether can Paul, so this is why he is challenging himself with 15 laps around the outside of the Emirates stadium in his NHS wheelchair at 3pm on Thursday 4th June 2009 (15 laps equates to 9.3kms). One lap of the stadium for someone with a head injury is a great achievement, 15 laps is a monumental task but you can be certain Paul will complete every lap.
