Firstly thank you for visiting my fundraising page. 

Les, Paula, Irene and all at the Myositis Support Group do really fantastic work, raising awareness, funds and creating a vital support community for all those effected by the various conditions. To the extent that Les Oakley (Chairman) was awarded an MBE in the New Year’s Honours List.

Most importantly the Charity needs the funds to go towards vital research into the conditions, some of which are still not fully understood. The goal is that through better understanding they can help find cures and treatments once diagnosed, rather than simply helping people cope with the conditions on a day-to-day basis. You can find out more by visiting their UK website and I would urge you to visit the community pages to get a better insight into the effects and how the Support Group benefits it's members.
