Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. As you'll see from the images to the left, I've run the marathon quite a few times. Last year though, I collapsed at about the 40Km mark and woke up in a St. John's Ambulance room before being carted off to St. Thomas's Hospital. If you look at the 2007 picture, you'll see how hot I look - and this was just after 11 miles! Call me a sucker for punishment, but I'm going try yet again to put a good marathon run in. I had an injury in December which took some time to get over, and this has seriously dented my build-up to the marathon, but I should be able to run it in a time under 4 hours, even though I'm still feeling rather unfit. I am collecting money for the Arthritis Research Campaign because our daughter Lizzie suffered juvenile arthritis in her childhood, and we are keeping our fingers crossed that it is now in remission. This is a charity which is close to our hearts. Please dig deep and sponsor me online.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Arthritis Research Campaign will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor me now!
Many thanks for your support.
