I have chosen to run for UNIQUE due to my daughter's recent diagnosis of a rare chromosone disorder. 

Jessica May was born on 6th July 2007 and we knew then that she had problems but we only got her diagnosis a couple  of months ago.  She has 16q deletion with mosaicism which basically means her genetic make up is  different  to most peoples as she has part of her 16th chromosone missing.

Please dig deep and help me to support this very worthwhile charity.  They offer amazing support and information to families like ours and this help and support costs them a lot of money.

I have never taken part in a run of any kind so this is a big challenge for me and I have been training hard.  It really means a lot to me to be able to give something back to Unique.  In the early days before and after Jessica's diagnosis, Claire spent many nights on the computer just trying to find answers to all the questions we had swimming around in our heads.  UNIQUE was the only place we found these answers.  We joined up and have had access to literature, help and also the knowledge that we are not alone.

My little girl really is the most amazing thing to ever happen to our lives, she genuinly lights up our lives and we wouldn't change a single thing about her and her conditon as her deletion is what makes her Unique xxx
