Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online.

I will be taking part in the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge on Saturday 7 July. The walk is 26 miles and takes 10-12 hours to complete and "provides spectacular views of the Yorkshire Dales and, on a clear day, beyond". Given the weather forecast, I do not expect to see much other than mud.

The peaks are the highest in the Yorkshire Dales. Pen-y-ghent 694m (2,277ft), Whernside 736m (2,415ft) and Ingleborough 724m (2,375ft) and present a real challenge.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Marie Curie Cancer Care will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me now!

Many thanks for your support.

Phil

 *** UPDATE ***

Thanks to everyone who has sponsored me so far. I have completed the walk in a time of 10 hours and 30 minutes. Pulled muscles slowed us down from the climb up Whenside after making fantastic time over Pen-y-Ghent (perhaps we should have taken it a touch slower?).

Still, am pleased it is now over, and thank you for your contributions. The event raised over £80,000!
