I would like to congratulate the team for coming first and third in the ramshackle rally!!!! Think we deserve extra sponsorship for winning with the naked snowball fight and being head butted by a goat!

2 sleeps until we leave for the ramshackle rally! so excited.
The Peakes are set to join a two car team driving from Calais to Krakow (that's Poland for my geographically challenged friends). Easy? Maybe not... the rules are:
We set off on Fri 29th from Calais, via Strasbourg, Bratislava, and Krakow by Monday.
We are doing it in fancy dress - including the car! Our car will be known as the Cats' whiskers (the other car is the Mutts Nuts - inspired by Dumb and Dumber). Photos will be available before we leave!
The car has to cost under £200, the AA won't help us and there are no support vechicles.
We compete to complete crazy challenges along the way
The website claims that this is "character building".

Will we make it? Nobody knows, but we're funding this trip ourselves and would like to donate 100% of your sponsorship money for CF's new gene therapy trial. This is a really important opportunity for our family, and all those living with Cytic Firbosis. Please dig deep!
Many many thanks to you all!!
H&G xx
Further info on the trial:
Following 10 years of development and successful tests on safety and toxicity over the last two years, a multi-dose clinical trial for CF gene therapy is planned to start in Spring 2012.
This is a crucial stage in the research but will cost a further £6m. This appeal has been launched to ensure that the multi-dose trial goes ahead. The chance of securing a multi-dose trial is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity which we cannot miss. Without proceeding with this trial we would not know whether effective gene therapy for CF could become a reality. So, we will be making every effort to raise the money required and looking for the support of all in the CF community and beyond.
This is the first such gene therapy trial in the world and has the potential to benefit the estimated 100,000 people with CF across the globe.
