Story

Welcome to the Pebble Rayner charity page which is dedicated to the support we received from the midwifes at the hospital and our family and friends who have been nothing short of amazing throughout the last few weeks.

If you are reading this you have no doubt heard the sad news that on the 29th April at 19:11 our son was stillborn after his heart stopped beating during the night on the 27th April, the date of induction. This was the end of a long journey for us and was further compounded by a complicated and long birth which neither of us will forget in a long time.

After preparing yourself (as much as you can) for a new addition to the family it is even harder to re-adjust back to the life you had before. We have had to do some things that no parent should ever have to endure but we could not have found the strength to carry on with our family and friends.

The funeral will be held on 20th May, after which we can begin to put this behind us and focus on the future. Tommy's undertake research in to stillbirth which is 10 times more common than cot death but they also provide midwifery support to those families who do not have the level the support we have had.

We know you are all thinking of us and would like to send flowers, but we ask that instead of this, please would you make a small donation towards Tommys in rememberance of our little boy so hopefully one day other couples will be more fortunate and able to benefit from our sad experience.

Thank you

James & Sandy

P.S. Pebble was his nick name....
