My story
Thanks for taking the time to visit the JustGiving page Pedal for Petrov.
On the 30th of March 2012, we recieved the news that our club captain and personal friend, Stiliyan Petrov was diagnosed with Leukaemia.
As you can imagine the news came as a massive shock, not only to us all at Aston Villa, but also to his friends, his fans, the entire football community and most importantly of all, his family.
As masseurs for AVFC, we've grown to know and love Stan over the past 5 years and boy has he kept us busy during that time. We miss him in our little bat cave and we, like so many others, want him back as soon as possible.
Stan has always been there for myself and Andrew and we will always be grateful for everything he has done for us and as a small token of our appreciation we have decided to embark on a cycle between Stans previous club Celtic and Aston Villa to raise money for Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research.
The cycle will be taking place in September starting at Celtic Park on the 3rd and finishing at Villa park via several stop offs along the way on either the 11th or 12th of Sept tbc.
There will be more info on the route and stop off points in due course.
Thank you again for visiting this page for our friend Stan. Your support means the world to him during his fight against Leukemia.
