Hearing Dogs for Deaf People trains dogs to alert deaf people to important and life-saving sounds such as the smoke alarm, alarm clock, intruder alarms and baby monitors. These amazing dogs also help deaf people to leave loneliness behind by providing love, companionship and emotional support.

Story

Thank you for taking time to read this page.

Paul and Gill (aka Uncle and Auntie) having completed The 2006 Great North Run,(or in our case waddle.)  will now take part on July 1st in a mere 10 mile stroll wandering aimlessly around the village of Oving in Buckinghamshireraising money for Hearing Dogs For Deaf People.

This charity is close to our hearts as Paul is totally deaf in one ear through Meningitis and losing his hearing in the other ear.We are also pleased that the charity gives a second chance to unwanted dogs as we are both keen on animal welfare.

Next year we hope to participate in The Great North Run again, but due to fitness hiccups we were unable to join in this year.

Please help us round on our amble in July by donating any amount you can.It will be a great help to a small charity in its work helping people with a disability which cannot be seen and is often not appreciated.

Thank you once again for taking time to read this.
