Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page where I hope to raise money for Teenage Cancer Trust.
My eldest, beautiful, bright, talented, thrill-seeking, human dynamo of a nephew - Jono Yung - succumbed to kidney cancer a few years ago, 3 months short of his 18th birthday, he was a shining light and deserved and looked forward to a long, exciting, 'white knuckle ride' of a life. Teenage Cancer Trust are amazing in all that they do and the way that they do it. They were hugely supportive to Jono throughout his illness, and the combination of their support and Jono's brave defiance gave his tumours a serious fight to the finish.
Jono's bravery inspired me hugely and I have a self-funded place in the notorious "Toughest Foot Race on Earth" Marathon des Sables 2011

which gives me the chance to fulfil my promise to Teenage Cancer Trust to raise sponsorship for 2 chemotherapy backpacks and pumps. These allow the children to move about and maintain a degree of normalcy whilst they receive their treatment, they can even leave the hospital and take a trip out for a pizza or burger, so much nicer than having to queue for the drips. I am looking to raise £5,500. Please help me if you can.
Donating is simple, fast and TOTALLY secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to my Pledge for Jono fund at Teenage Cancer Trust and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it's the most efficient way to donate - I raise more whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity, so please dig deep and donate now. Thank you in advance.
