Families Need Fathers is a registered charity providing information and support on shared parenting issues arising from family breakdown, and support to divorced and separated parents, irrespective of gender or marital
status. Our primary concern is the maintenance of the child's relationship with both parents. Founded in 1974, FNF helps thousands of parents every year.

The Liverpool to Leeds cycle challenge has been set to raise funds for an exiting weekend of activities for members and their children, who may not normally be able to afford participation in outdoor education.  We hope to raise £1000 for the provision of canoeing and climbing.  We already have volunteer sports coaches who are willing to give their free time to lead this project.

Divorce and separation is one of the most stressful life events, our aim is to enjoy a weekend of activities, which will help with alleviating stress and encourage further participation in outdoor education.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

HOT OFF THE PRESS!

We have just found out that our bid for Children in Needs has been unsuccessful.  Apparently they had applications for twice what they were offering, so well done to the charities who were successful!  We will try again in the next round of funding.

We still have a booking for the Aldwark Centre in August, which will cost £2000.  Were very keen for this to go ahead, and get 60 + parents and children away for an exiting and relaxing weekend.  Ultimately if this is going to happen, we now need to raise at least £1000 here and £1000 from Northern Branches.

Thanks for your support!

People are asking - what is the exact route we will be taking?

If its dry and not muddy, we aim to keep to the canal towpath which is mapped here -

http://www.towpathtreks.co.uk/LLC/index.html

If its not dry, we will be aiming to keep as closely as possible to this route!

My phone will be on so please give us a call during the event, if you would like to get on your bike and come and join us!

Or if you live near the route, food will be appreciated!  Thanks to the kind soul in Bingley who is doing us Sunday Lunch!
