London2Brighton Challenge 2013 · 25 May 2013 to 26 May 2013 ·

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Why am I doing this?  Firstly because I'm a little mad and trying to turn back the physical and mental clock!  More importantly because my mum was diagnosed in 2009 with Dementia. In 2012 my  mum had to move into a home to receive specialist support, so a very emotional time for all the family, especially my dad.

Dementia is a really sad disease that takes away peoples memories causing anxiety and stress, ultimatley seperating loved ones too early.

The Alzheimers Society do fantastic research towards prevention and care, trying to make future lives more comfortable.

So please dig deep and donate now to both ease the pain I will suffer on the walk (!) but also to support such a fab charity.
