Story
On Monday 9th June, I will embark on a gruelling challenge known as The National Three Peaks. This consists of reaching the UK's three tallest peaks – Ben Nevis of Scotland, Scarfell Pike of England and Snowden of Wales – in less than 24 hours!!
That's roughly an 11,178ft climb and 415 miles of driving where a skateboard becomes rather useless. Think I can do it? Only one way to find out, but first I may need your help.
Each group member has a target of £300 to raise in aid of the Yorkshire Cancer Centre where between us we aim to make a difference (however small) to those in need, focussing on the 'extras' (Specialist medical equipment for patients and research & development teams) to ensure optimal treatment and comfort in fighting an all too common illness.
To find out more follow this link: http://www.yorkshirecancercentre.org.uk/about.php?find=1
In preparation for this, our team of Leeds University students shall be going on training walks around Yorkshire, even tackling a few of the yorkshire peaks, while doing as much as we can to fundraise in the process!
Please donate anything you can no matter how small and look out for progress updates.
Thank you.
