Well it's all over now! had a brilliant run last sunday along with my big bro - Thankyou to everyone that has donated it really is going to a very just cause.
Time for me to have a bit of a rest now! but roll on next year I will be back!

Hi Everyone! I am running again in the Great North Run on the 18th Sept along with my brohter Steve in memory of our dad Alf Ridding who sadly passed away last year after bravely battling the debilitating disease COPD - Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (or Emphysema). Thanks to the support of the Lincolnshire Countywide Community Respiratory Service, carers,Marie Currie and of course his family dad was able to have the end of life that he wanted which was to die at home. Without their support this would not have been possible and he would have had to spend his last months in hospital which would have been very distressing for him.Thanks to them we now have some wonderful memories of our extra time with him, laughing telling jokes, talking about our childhood and most of all having the chance to tell him how much we loved him.Please take time to watch the video of dad's birthday I have uploaded as this proves all this - a few months later he passed away - at home.
The Lincolnshire Countywide Community Respiratory Service are a team of brilliant nurses who provide this fantastic service. Unfortunately just like many other teams they are affected by the cut backs and rely even more on charitable donations. I know times are hard but please dig deep and give what you can it will be very much appreciated and will go a long way to help other people like our dad have the end of life that they deserve.
