Story

Hi all!  Thank you very much for visiting my fundraising page.

I am running the Paris Marathon 2008 to raise money for the Exeter based diabetes research charity DIRECT. As you know I am a type1 diabetic and (like last year when I did the London Marathon for Diabetes UK) I want to raise awareness of diabetes and try and do all I can to support them. I have attached some information about DIRECT below:

DIRECT (The Diabetes Research Project) raises funds for world class research into the causes of and complications associated with diabetes at the Peninsula Medical School. The Diabetes Research Project has been formed to continue supporting diabetes initiatives across the Peninsula and to develop a wider awareness of diabetes throughout Devon and Cornwall.  Your sponsorship will help DIRECT to continue to advance an already pioneering local base and sustain important studies on diagnostic methods, new treatments and ultimately, the means to prevent this condition. http://www.pms.ac.uk/direct/

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: DIRECT at The Peninsula Medical School Foundation will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me now!
Many thanks for your support and w
ith very best wishes, Penny x
