I'm running in a couple of races in the next few months to try to raise funds for Cancer Research UK. 

I'm running in memory & celebration of the life of my amazing Dad, whom we lost to cancer last October. 

My first run is the Stafford Half Marathon on Sunday 25th March 2007.  When I ran in this race last year, Dad was there to cheer me on - I'm sure he'll be with me every step of the way this time too.  I was lucky enough to receive a free entry this year (just proving that you should fill out after-race questionnaires!) & so I'm donating my entry fee to get the ball rolling.

This race will hopefully be a good warm up, as on Sunday 29th April, I'm running in the Shakespeare Marathon in Stratford-upon-Avon.  This will be my first full marathon - that's 26.2 miles! - & I'm really looking forward to it. 
Hopefully I'll still be smiling at the end!
