On the weekend of 27/28 June this year, Louise Whitlock, Nick Bone and John Sarsfield will be cycling 300km from London to Paris in aid of deafblind charity Sense and we need your help in raising £1000 each by 17th April. To make it even more challenging, Nick and John will be cycling tandem!
DAY 1 - 98km: We cycle out of London early, leaving the traffic behind us. We’ll soon be in the countryside and have some undulating terrain to tackle in the morning before encountering a steep climb over the South Downs. At night we will be taking the ferry to Dieppe.
DAY 2 - 80km: We’ll cycle through the Normandy countryside over gently undulating terrain before preparing for the final push to Paris.
DAY 3 - 114km: Cycle through the rural landscape of Normandy before reaching the suburbs of Paris. We will be entering a forested area, Le Parc aux Etoiles, before a descent to the River Seine where we will group with the other cyclists participating in the challenge to cycle along the wide Parisian boulevards to the finish line at the Eiffel Tower.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Sense - National Deafblind and Rubella Association gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
