They will take part in the group's major annual fund raising event, the <span style="color: #993300;">Sponsored Ride, on 7 May 2012. </span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-pagination: none; mso-layout-grid-align: none; text-autospace: none;"><span style="color: #151515; font-family: ArialMT;"> </span><span style="color: #151515; font-family: ArialMT;">For these horses, riding a challenging 11 mile route across varied terrain in the Surrey hills, woods and and heathland is very different from their usual day to day work with disabled riders and a real undertaking for them. </span><span style="color: #151515; font-family: ArialMT;">Their riders, Conor Howard, Sandra Hudson and Sue Keen, are all volunteers who work with the group and have taken responsiblity for making sure the horses are fit for their challenge. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-pagination: none; mso-layout-grid-align: none; text-autospace: none;"><span style="font-family: ArialMT; color: #151515; mso-ansi-language: EN-US;"><strong>Please sponsor them! </strong></span><span style="font-family: ArialMT; color: #151515; mso-ansi-language: EN-US;">All the money raised will go towards keeping the ponies and their six stable mates. Its an expensive business: they need food, stabling, bedding, tack, rugs, shoes, veterinary and dental care, physiotherapy, fields maintained for grazing and where they can let off steam, all so that they can help us deliver our service.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-pagination: none; mso-layout-grid-align: none; text-autospace: none;"><span style="font-family: ArialMT; color: #151515; mso-ansi-language: EN-US;"><strong>And that is?</strong></span><span style="font-family: ArialMT; color: #151515; mso-ansi-language: EN-US;"> -<span style="color: #993300;"> to give over 240 children and adults with some sort of mental or physical problem the opportunity to ride. </span>This is of benefit in so many different </span><span style="font-family: ArialMT; color: #151515; mso-ansi-language: EN-US;">ways: it improves strength, fitness, balance and muscle tone; it raises confidence, self esteem and morale; it gives real pleasure and enjoyment. In general our riders, who come from a wide geographical area around Guildford and stretching south into West Sussex, have very limited choices when it comes to sporting activities. Being given the opportunity to ride with our group is hugely important to them. </span><span style="font-family: ArialMT; color: #993300;"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-pagination: none; mso-layout-grid-align: none; text-autospace: none;"><strong><span style="font-family: ArialMT; color: #993300;">By sponsoring the Cranleigh RDA ponies for this event, you help us to raise funds so that we may continue to help our riders and regularly bring somethig really valuable in to their lives. </span></strong></p>
