As you may or may not already know, I'm taking part in the 2012 London Marathon! I'm running to raise money for Arthritis Care - the UK's largest charity working with and for all people with arthritis. This is a cause very close to my heart as my wife, Mandy, has suffered from severe arthritis since childhood.

Those of you who know me well, or maybe remember me from school, will know that I'm not a runner by any means. As a friend commented to me the other day "Your best bet is if it rains heavily on the day, you'll be able to swim round instead !". Any support you can give me and any sponsorship (no matter how small you may think it is) will give me the boost I need to get me round those 26 miles (and 285 yards).
