I currently know of 5 people who are currently suffering from MS. You probably know, directly or indirectly, someone too. Famously Jack Osbourne has just been diagnosed too.

I know two people who have died from it also.

It is quite widespread, no known cure, not even a large understanding of the cause either.

I am utilising my annual attendance at the Scottish Ducati Club meet known as "The Midgie Masher" as a platform to raise this money and to raise knowledge of the disease. Instead of just attending the meet itself I am adopting a detour of about 1000 miles, 1600 miles in total to be ridden. Without close and direct backup.

The ride is inspired by "Bike" magazine's "Bike 8" ride, a circumnavigation of parts of England, Scotland and Wales covering some of the great riding roads and fantastic scenery these countries have to offer. A sort of "bikers dream" if you wish. 

We will update our progress with photos and texts as we go. We will use the facebook page "My Big Ride" as a vehicle for that. Please visit as often as you can. See you around, join us for part of the ride if you can, the maps are on that page. August Bank Holiday weekend, we set off on the Friday.
