1 Million Metre Challenge · 6 September 2012

SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity is a trusted source of support for serving personnel, veterans and their families in their time of need. Our trained volunteers and employees provide practical, emotional and financial assistance to the Armed Forces community to ensure they never battle alone.

Story

Thanks for visiting my page.

I'm running, rowing and cycling 1000 Km (1 million metres) by myself in 3 months. That’s 10 Km a day every day for 90 days. The challenge starts on the 10th of September and finishes on the 10th of December.

Many charities do fantastic work for service folk with obvious visible wounds.  Interestingly, many people are unaware of the impact that such a high pressure job can have on the serving and ex service people mentally – these invisible scars can be just as severe as the physical ones.

In order to help those people who suffer from the traumatic experiences that operational tours can bring, please support me in my quest to raise awareness for such a worthwhile cause.  By spreading the word and leaving a donation if able, I hope that this goes a small way to helping those who need this charity to aid them to lead a normal life again.
