We are an independent charity, part of a global community of like-minded people and organisations that share a passion to alleviate poverty and suffering around the world. We deliver help on the ground through local partnerships, networks and individuals, working with people and projects that inspire us, that have a gifting for their work and a clear vision for what they wish to achieve. We help change lives by meeting basic needs: food, housing, education, shelter and helping people achieve legitimacy and legal status. Our projects are designed to empower greater self-sufficiency, new hope and a more sustainable future – a handshake, not a hand out.

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

At 9:00AM on the 18th March 2013, we will attempt to voyage as far as possible from the Parkinson steps in Leeds in 36 hours without spending any money. 

We are fundraising for People Against Poverty as Pete worked with them in Romania in 2011 and we are keen to help them continue their great work.
