Beginning in September 2009, I will be taking part in the Clippers Round the World Yacht Race. The route will take me from the UK to Brazil, South Africa, Australia, Singapore, China, North America, through the Panama Canal on to Jamaica, Nova Scotia and then back to the UK ten and half months later.

Ten identical racing yachts with international crews of 18 per boat will be taking on some of the toughest weather conditions the worlds oceans have to offer, most notably in the Southern Ocean between and . I have recently welcomed Turner and Townsend as a corporate sponsor for this leg of his race.

As part of my involvement I am really pleased to be supporting Bernados, a charity Turner and Townsend have supported for a long time through a range of CSR activities. Its an extremely worthwhile cause and I sincerely hope I can reach my target. Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated - no contribution is too small!

You can find out more information about Barnardos by clicking on the link on the left. Look out for updates on my blog and Clippers website as I go along!

Thanks,

Pete
