Hi Everyone,
This July I'm going with a group of friends to a village in Peru to help build a dormitory at a children's refuge. It will provide accommodation for children who come from far away to attend the school there. This is an expensive project, and I need to raise £1000. The village is called Sañayca, and is situated at 3800m in the Andes in southern Peru, which is one of the poorest regions of Peru.
The picture is of the group from the University of London Air Squadron (of which we're members) in Peru in 2005, to give you some idea of what we'll be doing. It's going to be hard work, but it's a worthy cause.
While we're there, we're going to hike the Inca Trail to raise money. It should be great fun, but it'll be a challenge owing to the altitude!
If there's anything that I can do in return for you, for example, promote an organisation while on the trip, please let me know. On my return I can distribute photographs and a report on the project.
