I suddenly realised today that this was all real.  I have donations, I have information packs coming through the post (do you know how many hills are in Kent) and I have err...loads of training to do in way less time  than I thought. 

So, things I have done to date: Given up smoking, bought a great pump for my tyres and started seriously planning some training.  But best not to rush these things.....

I am currently researching (if there is such a thing) comfortable saddles and hope to be on my way to Paris, at least mentally after Easter.
