My story

Hi Everyone,

On 18th February 2010, a friend of mine Dougie Dalzell was killed on his birthday by an Improvised Explosive Device while serving in Afghanistan.

On June 10th this year I will be running the Caen Marathon in northern France, and in memory of Dougie I am hoping to raise some sponsorship money.

The Dougie Dalzell Memorial Trust seeks to support financially soldiers who have fought for their country and suffered loss. Any money raised in sponsorship of this marathon will be donated to the trust.

Dougie's family, and all family members of soldiers affected by their time in Afghanistan will be very grateful for any donations received.

If would like to contribute in some way you can do it here.

Thanks, Pete
