Story

I am cycling LEJOG - Lands End to John O Groats to help raise funds for the Africa foundation and the Ubunye challenege

This is a huge personal challenge for me as I have only cycled 110km in one day and will be completing 1500km over 10 days!!!

I will ensure I achive my first mission to complete LEJOG I hope you will be able to make a small contribution to the Africa Foundation and help me meet and exceed the £1000 target for the Africa foundation.

Ubunye” is a South African Xhosa word that means “Team Spirit” or “Togetherness”.

The Ubunye challenge mission is to raise money to support and enable communities in some of the poorest and most underdeveloped rural areas of South Africa. We are proud to be joining forces with Africa Foundation in the UK and Angus Gillis Foundation in South Africa. Both these foundations, who currently work together, fund and facilitate projects in consultation with specific African communities; empowering individuals and helping them to improve their lives and the lives of their families. The foundations’ both recognize that truly sustainable development takes place only when communities invest in themselves.

Pete
