Thank you for visiting our fundraising page. The Corrieyairack Challenge is a very tough duathlon. The 17 mile run section starts at the end of Loch Ness, in Fort Augustus, and rises very steeply up and over the 2,543 feet Corrieyairack pass. Then it drops down through rough boulder fields and the zig-zags to Garva Bridge. There we change to bikes for the 26 mile road section through Laggan, Newtonmore, Kingussie before finishing uphill at Kincraig. This is a real 'Challenge'. We love the outdoors and all the potential it provides for physical, emotional and spiritual re-freshment . The Speyside Handicapped Holiday Trust provides a wonderful chance for folk who otherwise would miss out on opportunties that we might take for granted. We will be training hard, with very early mornings at the weekend - preparing for the Challenge and trust that our variously aging knees, backs, hips etc will hold up to the tough schedule required. The encouragemnet of your support and sponsorship will help us to ignore the cold, the rain and the aches and pains - it will be our 'refreshment' - knowing that others will benefit enormously and themselves be encouraged, rejuvenated and overcome some of the huge 'challenges' they have in life. Please dig deep and sponsor us online.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Speyside Handicapped Holidays Trust will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor us now!
Many thanks for your support.
