My story

 

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

Here's a picture of me high in the Cairngorms, about one third of the way across Scotland, what an exhilerating moment!

My friend Mark and I completed the ride on Thursday 14th May, after five physically, emotionally and mentally exhausting days, including one twelve hour day in the saddle.  Ouch!  Exhausting but at the same time incredibly uplifting.  Friendship is such a precious thing.  I will remember those five days, with affection, for the rest of my life.

I'd like to thank everyone who has sponsored me for their kindness and generosity.  You will help to make a difference to the quality of people's lives through the work of Dr Kershaw's Hospice.

Well, its mid-life crisis time and what better way to celebrate this than to set off on a gruelling five day off-road bike trek across the Scottish mountain wilderness!  Its for a good cause though.  Dr Kershaw's has provided loving care to a great many people and to some of my relatives and friends when they and those closest to them needed it most.

It would be wonderful to be able to contribute something towards the running and upkeep of this wonderful service.  I am so grateful for your support.
