Here's a picture of me high in the Cairngorms, about one third of the way across Scotland, what an exhilerating moment!
My friend Mark and I completed the ride on Thursday 14th May, after five physically, emotionally and mentally exhausting days, including one twelve hour day in the saddle. Ouch! Exhausting but at the same time incredibly uplifting. Friendship is such a precious thing. I will remember those five days, with affection, for the rest of my life.

Well, its mid-life crisis time and what better way to celebrate this than to set off on a gruelling five day off-road bike trek across the Scottish mountain wilderness! Its for a good cause though. Dr Kershaw's has provided loving care to a great many people and to some of my relatives and friends when they and those closest to them needed it most.
