Nepal Trek, 22Feb 2005 · 25 February 2004

SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity is a trusted source of support for serving personnel, veterans and their families in their time of need. Our trained volunteers and employees provide practical, emotional and financial assistance to the Armed Forces community to ensure they never battle alone.

Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. As many of you know I am working for the Army as a Garrison Welfare Officer in Gütersloh Germany and in my spare time, the Treasurer of the local SSAFA FH Committee. A wonderful National organisation that helps many thousands of people.

The Nepal Trek will be a real challenge for me and also hopefully enable me to raise a great deal of money, for this worthy cause.

Training is going well including the Nijmegen Four Day Marches in Holland. Now it's hill training in the Saurland, Germany for the next 4 months, hopefully with the British Forces Germany volunteers for the Trek. I have already joined with Sarah Glynn, Peter Scopes and Andreas Yager a local German who is suporting SSAFA as a thank you to his British friends in Gutersloh.

Please dig deep and sponsor me online. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: SSAFA Forces Help will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Please pass this to any friends who have a charitable nature.

Many thanks for your support. Peter :-)
