This Summer I'm cycling around 900 miles from Land's End to John O'Groats to raise money for the education of children in Sudan.
In South Sudan decades of war have deprived generations of children of an education. Schooling is slowly becoming available again, but for most families the costs are simply too high.

Through this fundraising we want to provide the opportunity for schooling for a number of children. The exact number depends on our success...
By our standards the costs involved are not high. 50 pounds (60 euros) can pay for an entire year's school fees. 5 pounds would cover the cost of a months accommodation for a child who had to travel from a rural area to attend school in a town.

The Order of Malta, a charitable organisation, has generously agreed to match and then double whatever money I raise up to £1000. This means if I reach my aim of £500 I'll actually have £1500, which will enable more children to be reached and helped.
