My story

Thank you for visiting my fund raising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Christian Blind Mission UK will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

22nd October update.

Well I did it. I finished in 5hrs 13minutes. It was much harder than I remember from last time. I got a bit cold about half way through but I was determined to finish and not let anybody down, especially those of you who were so kind to sponsor me and CBM.

It was a wonderful experience and the fulfillment of a personal challenge of running a marathon on my 60th birthday .It is an extra bonus for us all to know that so many people in developing countries will benefit from my run and your very generous donations. Well done to you all!

12th November update

I also ran the New York marathon while on holiday in the USA. What a fantastic experience. I was a bit slower, 5hrs 54 mins but for the 2nd marathon in 2 weeks I was very satisfied.

Not bad for a 60 year old!!
