Hello! Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
*** Thanks to everyone for your generosity! I finished the run 945th out of about 52000 in a time of 1hr32min32. Given the sheer numbers of people trying to get in my way at the start, I was more than pleased with my time!***
On Sunday the 5th of October I'll be running the Great North Run - 13 and 7⁄64 miles, or 21097.5 metres, from Newcastle to South Shields. Rather than doing it just for fun I thought I should try to raise some money for a good cause at the same time.
I lost my big sister to ovarian cancer 12 years ago so when I was looking for a worthy cause, the Eve Appeal seemed like a good choice.
I will run myself into the ground to try and get through the course in 1hr30 (maybe 1hr40 is more realistic), If you haven't been credit-crunched into negative-equity just yet, why not give a little?
This page will remain open for donations until January so there's no hurry. Check back after 5th October to see how I did.
