Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I've now completed the triple challenge I set myself at the start of the year:  to raise a minimum of £1,000 for North West Air Ambulance.

The final challenge was to run round the race route of Coniston Old Man before cycling 1000 miles to take part in the Jungfrau Marathon on Saturday, 11 September.

After 'doing' Coniston Old Man on 27th September, Paul, Tommy and I cycled to Folkestone then across France via Arras, Chalons, Langres, Besancon to Interlaken, Switzerland, where we arrived on Tuesday, 27th September. Ably supported by Andy and Carl, we cycled 1000 miles in 11 days, with one rest day.

On a superb day for running, I completed the Jungfrau Marathon (26 miles, 9,000 feet of ascent) in 4 hours 17 minutes, finishing in the top 400 out of over 4000, 5th over 60.
