Flora London Marathon 2009 · 26 April 2009 ·

The Bobath Centre is world-renowned for the life-long support of people of all ages with cerebral palsy and similar neurological conditions. Our highly trained team of therapists have a focused and deep understanding of cerebral palsy and we offer a tailored therapy program to each person we see.

Story

I am running in this year's London Marathon and there is a few things you may wish to know.

1. The charitable appeal is for my friend Gareth and his son Rhys who has Cerebral Palsy.

2. CP is an injury to the young brain. It can cause muscles to be stiff like Rhys' legs. Gareth has been told that Rhys may not walk independently. The physiotherapists at the Bobath Centre work to reduce the stiffness in his legs and help him develop control over his body.

3. The Bobath centre needs help to give Rhys every chance in life

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Bobath Centre For Children With Cerebral Palsy gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
