I am running the 2006 MARATHON DES SABLES  in april .The MARATHON DES SABLES is a 150-mile selfsufficent desert marathon run across the Sahara desert in 6 stages the longest being 50 miles .All our food water clothing and any equipment for the race is carried by us in our backpacks throughout the race.The conditions will be sandy rocky the famous dunes in temperatures of up to130 degrees in daytime and freezing in night time.The race is known as one of the toughest endurance races on earth.   My  choosen charity is Macmillan cancer relief the race will cost approx 3000 pounds paid for by myself and i would like to raise as much as possible.                                                             ###                 ################################################################################d
