Thanks for visiting my fundraising page! I am doing a triathlon - my first ever - in August in order to raise money for text books in the Darfuri desert refugee camps. This is a very daunting challenge for unfit me. I have spent a lot of time in Darfur and when I asked some of the refugee children what they most wanted - they said 'TEXT BOOKS!' Many of them, as young as 8, travel back into the war zone, across vast distances of desert, to find books or sit exams. They are desperate not to let their current situation deny them the hope of a better future. So! its a good cause, REACT is run by volunteers with no middle people - every penny goes directly and fast to delivering educational needs.
