My son Robert (18) has a degenerative eyesight condition (macular dystrophy) which is causing the gradual deterioration of his sight. At the moment there is no cure for this condition but I am raising money to support reserch toward finding a cure and giving Robert, and others like him, the best opportunity to a have a full and rewarding life

My goal is to raise £5000 for RP Fighting Blindness over 12 months.  My latest adventure was to cycle 100 miles from Sheffield to Lincoln and back with my brother on May 23rd.   We completed our ride in 6h 40min at an average speed of 15mph.  Very satisfying if a little tough in 30C heat!

Thanks to everyone who has supported me in the past 12 months.  Theres still time to top up the fund.  Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: RP Fighting Blindness gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please support me now!
