Virgin London Marathon 2010 · 25 April 2010 ·

London Wildcare is the parent charity name for Riverside Animal Centre, based in Beddington Park, Wallington, South London. We help both wildlife and pet animals in need of urgent care. We receive no grant funding whatever, so rely entirely upon public donations to continue our lifesaving work.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Hi folks THANKYOU so much for making the decision to contribute towards my chosen beneficary The London Wildcare Trust.

I've wanted to do the London marathon for many years, and finally I made the effort, applied and to my surprise I was accepted 1st time, beginers luck!!

The reason I have chosen this charity is simple, they are local, they do a great job for injured wildlife that would normally be over looked in many circumstances, and in the present climate they need as much financial help as possible.

They rely solely on donations from well wishers and do not qualify for any grants.

Please take a little time to view their website. If you have children it can make a great trip to see some of the rescued animals on open days etc.

So, i'm running 26 and a bit miles, I WILL be struggling, I will endeavour to not only finish the distance but to finish it in good time, that will be of no surprise to those that know how competitive I am and the way I always try to give 110%!!

PLEASE PLEASE be generous, I know times are hard but whatever you can manage will be very much appreciated.

Thankyou very much.

Phil Elliott
