Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
The Phil Holder Memorial Marathon Relay is taking place on Sunday 3rd October at Woking Athletics Club in Sheerwater.
The event is in memory of my Dad who passed away in July through a combination of Dementia and Bladder Cancer.
Members of Woking Athletics Club along with friends and family, will be running one lap or more for the full marathon distance of 26.2 miles, which is 105 and a half laps!
My Dad was a very keen member of Woking Athletic Club and also did 4 London Marathons so when our friend Tony Mitchell came up with the idea we thought it would be a great memorial and a great opportunity to raise money for two special causes.
We are raising money for the Bob Champion Cancer Trust, on this page, and St Magnus Care Home who provided great care in Dad's final months. Money raised for the Bob Champion Trust will go directly will go directly to the research projects taking place within the laboratories which forms part of the Male Urological Research Centre at the ICR in Sutton. The money for St Magnus Care Home will go towards vital therapeutic equipment.
Please donate as much as possible and please feel free to come down to watch on the 3rd October.
Many thanks.
